When things are going great


This week has been about as exciting as a doing one of those fire drills around your car. You remember them, don’t you? You and a carload of your craziest friends pull up to a red light. Somebody yells out loud and then all four of the doors fly open and everyone jumps out and runs around the car while screaming and waving their arms frantically. Then, just as quickly, everyone reenters, slam the doors shut and try to act as though nothing just happened. Keeping a straight face afterwards is practically impossible. Yes, its silly and immature but great fun. Once I did it and hopped back in the driver’s seat only to have the driver behind me bend down and pick up a light and place it on the hood. The unmarked officer pulled me over and read me the riot act. It was not funny at all at the time but has been hilarious ever since.
