Wise idea to call for all information

It’s completely fair to ask for the as complete a picture as can be painted before spending public money on a project proposal.

City commissioners Brian Holley and Carolyn Frazier made their intention known this week that they wanted to see more information about the project proposal to turn nine holes of the former Ennis Country Club golf course into public green space before a final approval is awarded. That makes perfect sense to us on a fundamental level — we always see the need for transparent government.
