Ennis Ford Perfect Drive

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Ennis Regional Medical Center! I recently had a spell with my heart and found out it was atrial fibrillation (also called afib). I spent six days in the hospital. The care I received from Dr. Jinks and Dr. Meg Sullivan along with the entire staff including ED staff, Radiology and Med/Surg was the best care anyone could have ever received. They treated me like family! I drink Caffeine-Free Diet Coke and Dietary made a point to purchase a 12-pack just so I could have some with my meals. ERMC and Dr. Meg Sullivan were able to use the new cardiac instruments they have recently gotten to perform a Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) to correct my problem. The TEE allowed them to get a closer and clearer picture of my heart to make sure there were no clots before doing a cardioversion to restart the afib. I have done my follow up and my heart beat remains normal and I am no longer in afib. The City and community of Ennis have a GREAT Medical Center that they should be very PROUD of. It’s wonderful to have access to a local facility with amazing staff. I drive from Whitney to use ERMC, because the staff and the care provided are the BEST!
Sincerely,
Harrell Wilson
