Lynch Mob’s Distraction Costs Ennis Residents More Than $1 Million

On Tuesday night, Sept. 8, approximately 100 people, strategically orchestrated and organized, showed up to protest the job performance of Mayor Pro-Tem Matt Walker, Commissioner Brian Holley and Commissioner Ken Hackney during a city commission meeting. The protest was brought about due to the resignation of City Manager Chuck Ewings and it was hoped the public would perceive Walker, Holley and Hackney as responsible for Ewings’ resignation.
