Bonnie and Clyde hid out in Ellis County

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in 1933.
I strung together a few news items for readers who enjoy these little clips from the past. Some contain little known facts about average day to day life in Ennis. Others have insights into well-known local people and some of the thrilling events that have happened here, such as the search for Bonnie and Clyde. I had a request from a reader, Tom Vale, about Bonnie and Clyde’s Ennis connections and I thought it was a good time to include them in this installment of Town Topics since it would be running alongside the John Wesley Hardin article.
