Carver Class of ’67 Grads Reunite

A crowd of nearly 200 gathered at the American Legion Hall to commemorate the Class of 1967’s 50th High School Reunion and recognize them as the final class to graduate from the all black, G.W. Carver High School. A month after graduation they would find out their school would be closed and the remaining 222 African American students would have to attend Ennis High School due to desegregation laws.
