Citywide Easter egg hunt this Saturday

Volunteers and organizers have been busy the last couple of days prepping for the citywide Easter egg hunt, slated for this Saturday. Festivities will be held at Bluebonnet Park from 9 to 11 a.m. RaeAnne Jones, one of the organizers and member of Foundation of Life Church, said the event will feature 20,000 toy and candy filled plastic eggs this year. Foundation of Life Church is also the title sponsor of the event his year. This is the fourth year for the citywide egg hunt. “We also have several sponsors that have helped make this happen which includes several families in our church and small businesses,” Jones said. Egg hunting is not the only activity on the docket. There will be drawings for prizes as well including boys and girls bikes, Easter baskets, outdoor toys, and various other prizes.
