Ennis choir takes wing into new school year

Building up to what is expected to be a year of new heights, the Ennis Choir is set to soar according to director Lauren Trojacek. In fact, their Oct. 12 performance in the EHS Auditorium is titled “Take Flight.” Trojacek, a bird watching enthusiast herself as well as the owner of a vocal baby parrot named Westin, says all of the songs in the fall concert have a commonality about birds, flying or reaching new highs. “It’s true, the songs do have something to do with birds, and yes, my new baby boy was part of the inspiration,” she said, grinning.Read the full story and more in your Weekend edition of The Ennis News.
