EPT stages Hitchcock spy thriller

A unique mystery that’s sure to entertain everyone takes the stage at the Ennis Public Theatre tomorrow. “The 39 Steps,” a play by Patrick Barlow and John Buchan, is based partly on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1935 film, but has all the ingredients of a stellar production for the theater. “Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have ‘The 39 Steps,’ a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre,” EnnisPublic-Theatre.com says of “The 39 Steps.” “This 2-time Tony- and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 15 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of 4), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance.” Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
