Little girl heroine

A United Press release of Dec. 11, 1934 told of an act of heroism performed by a 7-year-old Ennis girl named Connie Jean Southworth. According to the story, “With her 2-year-old brother, Jimmie, she was playing on a rustic bridge over a small stream. The awkward Jimmie fell off the bridge.
