The morning glory: Dreaming of warmer days

The morning glory is a beauty and if you don’t have this vine in your garden, you really ought to. Although we in Texas have little to really grumble about when it comes to winter, in comparison to what our friends in the north have to deal with, here any cold is too cold. So if you’re like me, you are dreaming of spring and summer. Even the end of summer and early fall, when morning glories bloom, sounds great to me now. Morning glories, with their heart-shaped leaves and blossoms in a trumpet shape, are especially on my mind. Aren’t they alluring? My mother and my sister both love them, too, and have grown them over the years. My sister has morning glories and moonflowers in her front yard and they are always such a lovely greeting.
