Aggravated robbery case heads to trial


WAXAHACHIE—A Waxahachie man who attempted an aggravated robbery at an Ennis hotel in 2016, has rejected a plea agreement that would have sent him to prison for seven years. The aggravated robbery case against against Andy Lee Andrade Jr. will now move to trial where he could face the possibility of 99 years of confinement.Ennis police arrested Andrade in connection with a robbery that took place at the Holiday Inn Express in the 600 block of Sonoma Trail. Lt. Mike Hopson of the Ennis Police Department, said at the time, the suspect later identified as Andrade Jr. was described as wearing all black clothes, and a face mask.
