Annie’s Renegade Kidney benefit

Crystal Woods, author of “Write Like No One is Reading,” described well the life and comrades who are fighting for Ennis native, Annie Toal Whittington. “Life’s a battlefield, and we remain loyal to those who fight for us; those who’d die for us.”

Whittington, 29, who was featured in The Ennis Daily News last year as she prepared for a trip to Uganda, has a rare, hereditary kidney disease that is threatening to end her life in the near future.
