National Envelope is great local addition

We would like to join the rest of our community in welcoming National Envelope Corporation to Ennis, Texas.
The company opened their facility at the Ennis Industrial Park yesterday with a ribbon cutting and luncheon. Our community can truly be proud of this newest addition which is already providing nearly 300 local jobs.
It’s becoming a cliché to point out the incredible success Ennis has had at recruiting new industrial projects to our town. One big announcement seems to follow another and each new facility that opens represents years of hard work and investment by both city leaders and these new corporate citizens.
As with National Envelope, these businesses bring more than just jobs to our city. They are involved in many other ways, including charitable giving and volunteerism that helps improve the quality of life for all of our local citizens.
The story of National Envelope Corporation, is especially impressive. The company was founded in 1952 by holocaust survivor William Ungar. Ungar still serves as Chairman of Board and was on hand for Wednesday’s grand opening ceremony in Ennis. The business he started over 50 years ago is now the largest envelope manufacturer in North America, producing 220 million envelopes a day and employing over 4,500 people. National Envelope invested more than $24 million in the first phase of the new Ennis facility.
We’re fortunate to have companies like National Envelope here in Ennis and we look forward to many years of mutual growth and success.
