Harrell now up for Heisman Trophy

Congratulations are in order for Graham Harrell, Texas Tech quarterback and EHS graduate.
He has been named a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award, one of 15 selected for the honor.
Harrell, son of EISD coach Sam Harrell, finished fourth during the first round of online fan voting.
Fan voting has resumed at the award’s website, daveyobrien.com to help determine the finalists.
The fan vote will count 5 percent toward determining the three finalists, who will be announced Nov. 18. The award winner will be revealed during ESPN’s college awards show Dec. 6.
In a related note, Nissan is sponsoring a contest on the ESPN website in which fan voting will determine Nissan’s official vote in the Heisman Trophy selection process.
Graham is among 20 nominees listed. To vote in this contest, visit https://r.espn.go.com/espn/contests/theheismanvote/index (please note that registering as a member of the ESPN website is required).
