Step by step

Last weekend the GO! Dance Dazzlers competition team trained with noted choreographers Doriana Sanchez and Bubba Carr, both currently appearing on Fox-TV’s “So You Think You Can Dance” show.
Sanchez also helped choreograph the movie Dirty Dancing, Cher’s Farewell “Living Proof” Tour and performances at the American Music Awards and the Grammys. Sanchez instructed the GO! Dance competition team in 1970s dance styles and techniques.
“The girls and I had a great time getting down with disco,” said GO! Dance instructor Stephanie Reese.
The dancers also trained in contemporary styles under Bubba Carr. He, too, was a choreographer for Cher’s farewell tour. In addition, Carr has served as choreographer for TV’s “Friends,” for the movie Wild Wild West and for commercials for Levi’s and The GAP.
“It was very, very hard but I loved learning something so new and different,” said competition team member Brittany Stovall.
“I love to get my dancers in front of the biggest and best in the dance industry,” said Reese. “I am here to help them perfect their art and to realize they can go on to dance careers when they finish their studies with GO! Dance.”
