Bravo to artistic Ennis youth!

Congratulations are in flowery order for winners in the Ennis Daily News Bluebonnet Coloring Contest.
Brandon Pate, 10, was one of the winners in this publication’s annual Bluebonnet Contest for his submission in the 7-10-year-old category. EDN Office Manager Peggy Motley presented Pate with his artwork along with a check for $15.
Sara Rodriguez, 10, was the overall winner of the Bluebonnet Coloring Contest presented by the Ennis Daily News and she received $100 from EDN General Manager Lange Svehlak.
Ennis Daily News Publisher Ben Brooks presented a check to Haley Haynes for her submission. Haynes, 6, won $15 in the 0-6-year-old category.
And Kaitlin Sanders, 12, winning the 11-13-year-old category in the Coloring Contest, received her winning submission and $15 from EDN Staff Writer/Web Editor Matt Cook.
The Ennis Daily News thanks these young artists and all the others who participated in the competition. Their joy in receiving recognition for their talent, and their parents’ pride in their little ones’ efforts, also brightens the day for everyone here at the EDN.
