New school year means fresh start

With the beginning of the school year for Ennis ISD students comes the end of a carefree summer schedule. Tomorrow is the beginning of the rigors of getting settled into a new routine while still clinging to the old one just a bit.
There will still be a sea of sleepy heads as the bus rounds the corner, but tomorrow should also bring a newfound sense of excitement for students who will walk into the brand new junior high building for the first time and also for the high school students who will be enjoying a new look and addition to their building. The beginning of the school year has always meant the chance to start over and take the bad habits from the previous year and set them aside as the new year with all its possibilities stretches out in the distance.
We hope that as tomorrow begins students all over the community have a terrific day as they set about to learn a little more this year, participate in clubs and organizations that will help them in years to come and make new friends they can look back on with fond memories years from now.
Ennis is a wonderful community for many reasons, one of which is the school system and as students everywhere begin classes tomorrow, we hope the community supports them in their upcoming endeavors and continues to attend all the events that round out the school year.
We wish teachers, staff and students a great start to a wonderful year.
