Police hunt for sword, wallet thief

Ennis police are investigating a reported home invasion robbery where the alleged suspect stole a man’s wallet that contained approximately $600, as well as a sword.
Lt. Ron Roark said that around 10 a.m. Monday, Officer Jon Knapp was dispatched to 215 S. Dallas St. to meet with the victim. The man told Knapp that at about 8 p.m. the previous night an unknown person came through his window and stole his wallet. The suspect also apparently took a 42-inch samurai sword during the robbery.
The victim apparently woke up due to the noise the suspect was making, and the suspect pushed the victim to the bed, bruising the victim and fleeing the scene.
