Boosters’ work often unseen

At every home football game, the Ennis Band Boosters are hard at work in the concession stand, serving up refreshments to hungry football fans.
As members of the Ennis Band program, students work together to play music and support the football team. While they are practicing their instruments and learning complex drill moves, the Ennis Band Boosters are working behind the scenes to support them. The boosters’ work in the concession stand helps raise money for trips that the band goes on, said Kathy Easley, president of the Ennis Band Boosters.
The boosters consist of parents and relatives of Ennis Band students, and they do more than just raise money for the bands. They also chaperone band trips, provide meals for the students and make sure each student has what he or she needs for a performance, Easley said.
