Nursing homes look for helpers

The North Central Texas Council of Governments’ Area Agency on Aging Ombudsman Program is looking for volunteers to immediately fill vacancies.
NCTCOG Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Recruit-ment Consultant Pat Borgfeldt said warm-hearted volunteers are needed to help elderly and disabled residents of nursing and assisted living facilities in Ennis.
Ombudsmen advocate for residents’ rights including dependable and consistent care and an environment that promotes the residents’ dignity, self-determination and communication.
