Ennis Jr. High gets all blue ribbons

Technology show team takes big awards at San Antonio
Ennis Junior High School Show Team recently participated in the Junior Agricultural Mechanics Competition at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. The Ennis Junior High show team competed along with 180 high school show teams across the state of Texas.
The team submitted four projects. Judging was based on degree of difficulty, design, quality of workmanship, and showmanship. There were a total of 672 projects entered in the Agricultural Mechanics Competition. Twenty-two 16-foot trailers and 26 10-foot trailers were entered in their respective classes. Earning a blue ribbon and third place in class four was Gil Kalinec with his 16-foot tandem axle utility trailer.
Also earning blue ribbons were Garrett Price, Patrick Cloonen and Taylor Svehlak with a metallic green 10-foot ATV trailer. Sarah Lucas and Will Arnold earned a blue ribbon and third place in class two with their pink show fan and equipment stand.
Also earning blue ribbons were Ty Kalinec and Chase Maliska entering a 26 x 60 x 34 glue-up table.
