Students fill the halls for first day of school
Ennis ISD students, teachers and administrators reported a smooth first day of school Monday.
Superintendent Barbara Qualls said there were 79 more students in attendance Monday than there were on the first day of school last year, bringing the total number of students to 5,589. She said this was good for the district, and the first day went better than everyone had hoped.
