Pair arrested for drugs in warrant stop

A man and a woman were arrested in Wal-Mart’s parking lot Wednesday after police exercising a warrant on the man for allegedly stealing gas say they found drugs.
Det. Paul Asby said Ronald Parrish, 44, and Tina Murray, 49, both of Ennis, were driving in the Wal-Mart parking lot Wednesday afternoon when officers spotted Parrish’s vehicle. He was already wanted for vehicle burglary.

“What he had been doing was he had an electric pump on his truck,” Asby said. “He’d been riding around siphoning diesel out of big trucks. I tried to catch him with a container in the back of his truck, but he didn’t have it (Wednesday). We went ahead and stopped him anyway.”
