Bardwell work continues

City management doesn’t expect the Corps of Engineers to stop maintenance work at Lake Bardwell while the parties involved try to hammer out a deal.
Steve Howerton reported Wednesday’s meeting between district Corps officials and cities involved in funding at the lake produced no tangible results, but was constructive.

“We didn’t truly expect to resolve anything at this level,” Howerton said. “We did intend to lay out all of the city’s case, and we did that for the district engineer and his executive staff.”
