EISD special ed director stepping down

The director of special education for Ennis ISD has announced her resignation, but she will still serve the district in a consulting capacity.
Rhonda Simpson has served as director of special education for the district for two years. In order to spend more time with her family, she has decided to step down from the position. Her last day is March 12.

She has taken a position with GG Consulting, which uses technology to help school districts — including EISD — streamline programs for a greater sense of continuity. The position will be less time-consuming for Simpson, and will allow her to work from home, she said.
