Lion tennis competes in stout McKinney Tourney

Playing weak competition isn’t an ideal way for athletes to improve, which is a concept coach Keith Howard surely considered when he entered Lion tennis in the McKinney Tournament.
Ennis came in ninth among the 16-team field over the weekend, finishing behind McKinney Boyd, Allen, Plano West, Flower Mound, Coppell, Plano, Frisco Wakeland and McKinney North. With that being said, the Lions did get the better of quality foes from Hebron, Frisco Centennial, McKinney, Frisco, Frisco Liberty, Denison and Denton.

"Overall we did okay and faced some tough competition," said coach Keith Howard. "I’m definitely proud of how we finished as a team."
