EHS blood drive beats expectations

Donor turnout at Wednesday’s student council-sponsored blood drive at Ennis High School exceeded the expectations of its organizers, even just a few hours after it began.
This was the third drive held by the Student Council this year. The previous two averaged 70 donors per drive, but at this drive — held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. — 62 people had given blood by 11:30 a.m, said student council sponsor Kevin Campbell.

The large turnout kept student council members busy as they worked to accommodate donors and maintain order.
