Archery team tops nationals goal

The Ennis archery team is back from nationals in Kentucky, and the whole team should be walking taller than before they left.
As of this weekend, the National Archery in Schools Program had Ennis placed as 34 out of 106 teams, with a total team score of 3,123.

Assistant coach Lanna McCabe is ecstatic with the results from this competition.

“It is very exciting to place so high in the standings at the national tournament, we even scored higher than we did at the state level,” McCabe said. “Mr. Brietz, the archery team coach, set a goal of 3,100 for the team to reach while at nationals, and they passed it.”
