Tea Party to host national speaker

Kelly Shackelford, a nationally recognized speaker who speaks on issues regarding First Amendment rights under the Constitution of the United States, will speak to members of the Ellis County Tea Party on Thursday.
The meeting will be held at the Waxahachie Bible Church located at 621 N. Grand Avenue in Waxahachie at 7 p.m. Since 1997, Shackelford has been the President and CEO of the Liberty Institute, which was founded as a Free Market Foun-dation in 1972 dedicated to protecting freedoms and strengthening families.

Their legal team has helped defend those who have been singled out for silence such as Hannah Giles, who was the “undercover” journalist who videotaped ACORN’s corruption and presented it to a national audience.
