InsideENNIS offers tips for staying active

Seniors have a number of opportunities to get involved in the Ennis community — even during the hottest months of the year, there’s no shortage of activities going on.
Staying active is underestimated in our quest for material security as we raise families and establish ourselves through our professional careers. By the time we’ve made it to the other side, so to speak, it’s easy to find ourselves disconnected from our community.

We’ve put together a short list of outlets for our residents in their golden years, and we did it in our latest edition of InsideENNIS, the third installment of the full-color, glossy magazine.

There are a number of community organizations that are looking to grow, and we were only able to scratch the surface in this edition of InsideENNIS.

Even beyond those we featured, there are a host of others. From the Latino Cultural Education Council and 20th Century Club to Beta Sigma Phi, the possible outlets for seniors living a life of relative leisure in their retirement years are many in this area.

There’s theater and fellowship, great community events and causes worth supporting in this community, so be a savvy senior and take the opportunities open to you. If you’re not already aware, look to InsideENNIS as a guide to just some of those opportunities.

On a related note, the community’s response to our magazine has been overwhelmingly positive, and for that, we’re incredibly appreciative.
Ennis is certainly worth the work and expense to make the magazine possible, and we believe we’re only scratching the surface of the publication’s potential, as well.

Ennis has a rich history, a strong sense of community and deep feelings of connectedness and pride. That is news to no one — the people who live here likely do so because of those very qualities that separate us from so many cookie-cutter communities. Expect more from the magazine as we improve the product every month, and remember that it’s free, so don’t hesitate to pick yourself up a copy and browse.
