MOW volunteerism becomes family affair

Meals on Wheels has provided meant hot meals and a smiling face for years locally, and in the case of Doug Norton and his granddaughter Layne Guthrie, it has also been a source of family time.
Norton has volunteered in Ennis with Meals on Wheels of Johnson and Ellis Counties for more than two years and said he has been very happy participating with the program.

“I’ve been retired for a few years and wanted to give back, and felt like I could possibly make someone’s life a little bit easier,” Norton said.
