Lion tennis dominates Saturday doubleheader

The Lion tennis team is no stranger to winning this year, but Ennis rode a wave of success on Saturday at home.
A day after downing Mansfield Legacy, the Lions moved to 8-1 on the season with 17-2 victories against Alvarado and Groesbeck. While the team has played far stronger opponents this year, the margin of victory was impressive nevertheless.

“I think the kids had good focus and frame of mind playing those three matches in two days,” said coach Wyatt Johnson. “It says a lot about the level at which they performed in all of them. A lot of times as the better team, you have the chance to be lazy and lose focus.
