Boys and Girls Club hosting carnival

The Boys & Girls Club of Ennis, in celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week, is hosting a variety of special events for club members this week.

According to local club officials, this year the club is rededicating and recommitting to the Boys & Girls Club Mission, which is “To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.”
As part of this week’s special events, the Ennis club is inviting everyone to come celebrate with them as they host a Penny Carnival Thursday.
Visitors have the opportunity to break open their piggy banks at home and exchange all the pennies they can find for tickets to be used for games and food.
There will be music, food, game booths with prizes, face painting, arts and craft stations and many other activities for kids to enjoy after school. The carnival will be in the Onstead Gymnasium at the club, located at 1211 S. Clay St.
