St. Jude benefit rocks tonight

The Chili’s of Ennis has found an additional way to contribute to a chain-wide effort to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with help from one of their regular customers.
The restaurant will host a concert featuring a variety of famous musician-impersonators from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight in their front parking lot. Managing Partner Mike Read said the event came about when he mentioned to one of his regular customers, Ronnie Loftis, that he looked like Elvis Presley.

Read discovered that Loftis was an Elvis impersonator and that he knew a number of other impersonators who like to perform for a good cause, and the benefit concert was born.
