Teacher of the Year honor goes to Jackson

Educator Nancy Jackson has earned the honor of being a Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year and received a number of awards to help her continue her work.
Jackson is an English as a second language teacher at Jack Lummus Intermediate School but was recognized for work from last year when she served as a third grade teacher. Wal-Mart received an essay nomination from a former student for Jackson through its teacher recognition program. Both her former principal at Houston, Linda Southard, and her current principal at Lummus, Lori Redning, were on hand for Jackson’s awards presentation.
