Ride a bike, support FFA

The annual student-run Lion Pride Bike Ride will bring hundreds of riders locally and from around Texas out to raise funds for Ennis FFA this weekend.
Riders can tackle 20-, 35-, 42- and 66-mile courses as part of the event, which begins at 9 a.m. Saturday. Registration fees are $25, and organizer Amber Huckabee said riders are also asked to bring a canned good that will go toward Helping Hands of Ennis. ATMOS Energy is planned to provide lunch at the end of the ride.

The event, in its third year, is projected to field 500 riders, a large boost from the 200 who showed last year, Huckabee said.
