Lions come out firing in tourney opener

After Tuesday’s win, Lion basketball players spoke of their desire to win the Highland Park Scot Classic.
Ennis (2-0) took the first step on Thursday with a 65-48 victory over Trinity Christian Academy. TCA had actually beaten the Lions in a past version of the tourney, but it trailed by a significant margin for nearly the entire game.

“I think we’ve made a lot of progress (since Ennis lost to TCA), but we want to be really good when district starts,” said coach Jerry Mason. “TCA has a good scheme and is good at what they do, plus they play a lot of elite teams in their conference. This was a good win for us over a good program.”
