Highland Park protects home court vs. Lions

After watching Lion basketball win the Scot Classic right in their own back yard Saturday, the Highland Park Scots showed they’re still a team to be reckoned with on Tuesday.
Host Highland Park rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to hand Ennis (5-1) its first loss of the young season, 66-61. The Scots’ quality performance didn’t come as a shock to Lion coach Jerry Mason.

“(HP) started out hot and had an 11-point lead, and then we caught up and actually hit some threes to take a seven-point lead at halftime,” Mason said. “But Highland Park played well and their execution made the difference. We didn’t play well defensively and get the stops that we had been getting."
