BridgeBuilders needs backing of community

With a spare few days until Dec. 1 the cutoff period, there are still chances left for individuals in the community to sign up for help or sign up to help with BridgeBuilders’ Christmas Project.
Feed Ennis 2010 has seen waves of volunteer support and church and business food donations that will be key in getting the effort through to its planned Dec. 18 distribution of food to 1,000 Ennis families.

With such a big goal on tap — larger than the number of families served in this community’s 2009 Feed the Children campaign — there is a distinct need both for volunteers to help with logistics and the raw goods to make the gifts possible.

There are a number of ways to reach out that don’t involve spending capital; instead, you’ll be spending time.

Groups of workers will be gathering over the next three weeks to inventory the available food, call and set up appointments with families in need and organize.

Being generous with our time now can make the difference for this group, who have shown before that good will and drive can make efforts like Feed Ennis 2010 possible, even in tough times.

To become a BridgeBuilders Christmas Project: Feed Ennis 2010 volunteer, stop by the BridgeBuilders office at 308 W.
