JV Lions compete in Bryan Adams Tourney

While other athletes kicked up their heels during the holidays, the JV Lion basketball team headed north to take part in the Bryan Adams Tournament.
Ennis actually took on host Bryan Adams in its first game during what was a 58-44 victory for the home team. Bryan Adams led 16-10 after one quarter, 32-21 at halftime, and 46-30 after three, but the Lions kept plugging away and won the fourth 14-12.

“We played a Bryan Adams team that brought down three varsity players, so I thought we competed well,” said coach Rodney Ross. “Those athletes in Dallas are some of the best in the state and we played well in spurts in that game. A few mental lapses ended up costing us.
