Parade spreads joy
Ennis Avenue was jam-packed Tuesday night as residents anxiously awaited the descent of the more than 60 floats featured in the Christmas Parade of Lights.
The weather was chilly, but Ennis folks young and old braved the elements, some even waiting out the chill in their vehicles.
Parents with small children and school-age kids alike bundled up to catch a glimpse of cars like that of Mayor Russell Thomas and the Ennis VolksFolks.
Awards were handed out based on judging that happened prior to the start of the parade with Family First Hospice coming in third place, second place was awarded to Ennis Veterinary Clinic and top honors of the night went to Rooftime Contractors.
