Palmer woman missing for more than two weeks

Palmer resident Marian P. Parsons has been missing for more than two weeks, and the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office is looking to residents of the county for clues on her whereabouts.
Parsons, 54, was last seen at about 11:30 a.m. Dec. 1, and her last known contact with anyone local was around 4 p.m., when she called a neighbor. Lt. James Saulter, sheriff’s office spokesman, said the woman’s home didn’t show any signs of plans to leave — all of her clothes and accessories were found there, as well as her personal hygiene items. All that wasn’t accounted for was her purse.

“She went to IHOP in Ennis with a neighbor at 9:28 a.m., and the two remained at the restaurant until 10:05 a.m.,” Saulter said in a release. “They left the restaurant and returned to the neighbor’s home, where she stayed for a while, and then returned to her own residence at approximately 11:30 a.m.”
