Food, good will shared

BridgeBuilders’ Saturday food distribution event at First United Methodist Church saw hundreds of locals stream in and out under a light of good will and charity.
Dozens of lay ministers, church officials and volunteers packed in to the church early to prepare for the influx of needy individuals coming to pick up food boxes packed last week. Hundreds of residents signed up for a box of food, and with that came time for reflection and visiting with church members about their needs.

Bobby Santos, who sat quietly in the church sanctuary, was deeply moved as FUMC praise team member Jenny Snyder sang solos before lunchtime. Tears streamed down his face as Snyder sang the Faith Hill song “A Baby Changes Everything.”
