Arts group going ‘Bowl’ing

Inspiration Inc. Arts in the Community will celebrate Super Bowl XLV coming to the Metroplex with a special production at multiple locations.
The group, led by Director Fran Jeffery Anderson, will debut Crowns adapted for the stage by Regina Taylor from the book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry.

“It is a play about church ladies and their hats,” Anderson said. “It’s basically a story about a young lady from New York, ‘Yolanda,’ who gets in trouble and suffers a tragedy and her mother sends her to live with her grandmother and it’s culture shock to her. She not only has to deal with her grandmother, but the close relationships all of these church ladies have.”
