Ennis teen facing drug charges

After being dispatched to Taco Bell in reference to a disturbance Wednesday afternoon, Officer David Dodd made contact with those suspected of causing the trouble.
During a routine computer check of background information on the suspects, it was revealed one of the men at the scene had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
While placing the man under arrest, Dodd reported the suspect attempted to pass his wallet to a friend. Dodd intercepted the wallet and during inventory at the police department it was revealed the wallet contained a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Gustavo Gonzalez-Serrano, 19, of Ennis was arrested on an Ellis County Sheriff’s Office assault causing bodily injury warrant and charged with possession of marijuana less than two ounces
