The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office arrested two in connection with an animal cruelty investigation in rural Waxahachie.

David and Barbara Costlow surrendered Monday to sheriff’s deputies pending state jail felony charges of cruelty to non-livestock animals. Both posted $1,500 in bond and were released.

Livingston said animal control officers went to a home in the 700 block of Gibson Road on June 17 in response to an anonymous complaint.
