Bardwell Volunteer Fire Dept. adds truck


Volunteer firefighters accoss the Lake Bardwell bridge increased their capabilities of serving the 649 people of Bardwell and surrounding areas with the addition of a new, large brush truck on June 10. According to a released statement, the Bardwell Area Volunteer Fire Department is now better equipped to combat wildland firefighting. The trust, named Marcos, is a 2018 apparatus that is designed to take on a variety of landscapes, including rough terrain. “We put a lot of thought into this new truck,” said Michael Anthony, the fire chief of the Bardwell Area VFD. “Everything from storage to safety was considered.
