Boys & Girls Club celebrates masquerade style

By Justin Tubbs

For members of the Boys & Girls Club of Ennis, Friday was a chance to dance the night away.

With numerous sponsors supporting the event, including Atmos Energy and Ennis State Bank, the kids got to experience their very first masquerade ball.

Complete with a prince and princess, a king and queen, the masquerade ball was fun for everyone in attendance – even the parents.

“This is the first year we’ve done this,” said Dana Polk-Brim, the local club director. “It really is a good turnout.”

More than 30 children ranging from kindergarten to middle school age were in attendance as they took photos in their formal attire and danced to some of the latest (family friendly) hits.
