Candidate issues debate challenge

Jake Ellzey, hoping to succeed Jim Pitts in the Texas House of Representative’s 10th District, has challenged his three opponents to three public debates.

Ellzey issued his challenge Wednesday in the form of a release to local media, calling on Waxahachie Mayor John Wray, T.J. Fabby and Midlothian School Board member Duke Burge to a Feb. 11 debate in Ennis, a Feb. 18 debate in Midlothian and a Feb. 25 debate in Waxahachie.
